Guest TechIT Report post Posted 05/22/2008 03:14 PM Hi, I am trying to test VoiceGuide using GVC SF1133V/R Voice Modem. However, upon configuration, it shows a message LINEERR_INVALMEDIAMODE. Please note I tried with my Laptop's internal Agere AC'97 Modem as well, but I get the same error. Is there anything wrong that I am trying. Thanks for the help. TechIT Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/22/2008 08:56 PM LINEERR_INVALMEDIAMODE. This means the modem does not support "Voice" features. You will need to use a modem that supports "Voice" features. We would recommend just getting a Dialogic card. You will most likely spend a lot of time trying to get voice modems to work and finding that no voice modem out there gives you adequate performance. Guest TechIT Report post Posted 05/23/2008 02:40 AM Hi, thanks for the reply. My ultimate aim is to go for a Dialogic Card for my final implementation. But, to give a POC to the client, I need to show him the basic working model, for which I am trying out with the two modems that I have. I would highly appreciate if you can send me a link for downloading the Wave Drivers for the following two modems: 1. GVC SF-1133V/R Voice Modem (External) 2. Agere AC'97 Modem on HP Compaq nx7010 Laptop 3. PCTEL Platinum V.90 Internal modem I have been trying hard to find the Wave Drivers for these, but no luck yet. Thanks, TechIT Share this post Link to post
SupportTeam Report post Posted 05/23/2008 03:11 AM The cost of Dialogic card more then offsets the time saving with successively trying to get various modems working. If cost is an issue have a look on Ebay for used Dialogic cards. You would need to contact the modem manufacturer for drivers for their modems. Share this post Link to post
